Event Description:
Join our esteemed panel of guests as they share their personal experiences and address what it means to be an immigrant in the United States.  This important conversation with regional colleagues offers Chamber members, their employees, and community members the opportunity to discuss diversity, discrimination, and race identity in the professional sphere.  
 
 The virtual event will be facilitated by Dr. Sunil Bhatia, Professor and Chair of Human Development and Interim Chair of the Education Department at Conn College, who immigrated from India.  
 
Our panelists:  
Mrs. Ornet Hines, Assistant VP & Branch Manager, Liberty Bank, who immigrated from Jamaica.  
Dr. Shengquan Duan, Pharmaceuticals Team Leader, Pfizer, who immigrated from China. 
Mr. Liam Sampson, Director of Internal Programs for the Black Engagement Council, Electric Boat, who immigrated from South Africa
