Event Description:
Join us for an exciting moment of community collaboration as we celebrate the ribbon-cutting event at the Gemma Moran United Way/Labor Food Center. This special occasion marks the unveiling of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Leadership Class project. The class project was to transform two conference rooms to create a welcoming community room that will help the Food Center build a robust and unified feeding assistance system across New London County. Be part of this significant milestone as we come together to support food security initiatives in our region.

At United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, Community Investment constitutes the organization's core focus. It denotes the allocation and distribution of funds. This encompasses a range of United Way initiatives such as the Gemma Moran United Way/Labor Food Center, Project Warm-Up, Day of Caring, and United Way 2-1-1. Additionally, it includes collaborative efforts, committee involvement, and financial support for a comprehensive network of partner programs managed by local nonprofit health and human service agencies.
