In honor of Black History Month, the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut invites you to an exclusive viewing of "A Spectacle in Motion: The Grand Panorama of a Whaling Voyage 'Round the World" at Mystic Seaport Museum. Dr. Akeia de Barros Gomes, Senior Curator of Maritime Social Histories, will give a brief introduction to the exhibit and discussion on diversity within the whaling industry and the experiences of Black men employed at sea during this time.
This event is open to our Young Professionals, Chamber Members, and Non-Members to network and explore this incredible exhibit. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Lancer Hospitality. One drink ticket per person (wine, beer, and soft drinks), compliments of Mystic Seaport Museum will be given upon arrival, with cash bar to follow. Please note the changes to time, agenda and bar for this event.
