Backus Hospital to Host Smoking Cessation Program

Norwich, CT – Backus Hospital’s next session of the  American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking® Program begins on Jan 5, 2016 at the Backus Outpatient Care Center at 111 Salem Turnpike in Norwich.
 
The Freedom From Smoking® program includes eight sessions and features a step-by-step plan for quitting smoking.  Each session is designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior. The clinic format encourages participants to work on the process and problems of quitting both individually and as part of a group.
 
Sessions will be held Tuesdays from 6-8 pm for seven weeks with a second class scheduled for week four of the series. Cost is $50.  Money will be refunded in full upon completion of the program.
