Save The Bay Receives $2,000 from Dime Bank Foundation

Norwich, CT – Dime Bank Foundation recently awarded $2,000 to Save The Bay in support of a STEM based, hands-on, marine science education program which will benefit students at Westerly Middle School and the Tower Street School Community Center. This program will engage students in the discovery of their local ecosystem, Little Narragansett Bay and the Pawtuxet River Watershed.
 
Founded in 1970, Save The Bay works to protect and improve the ecological health of the Narragansett Bay region through advocacy, education, and restoration efforts. Their mission is to make the Bay swimmable, fishable, accessible and healthy for the 1.6 million residents in the watershed and the 12 million visitors to Narragansett Bay each year.
